A Press Production Officer ensures the arrival and processing of all press content, digital and/or hard copy, as per agreed delivery schedules. They are also responsible for summarizing Sky News Online content by request and at nominated times throughout the day. The role requires a good understanding of the Isentia Press product, systems and processes.
Ensures all hard copy and pdf publications arrive on time and are complete.
Downloads publications when pdfs unavailable.
Makes initial contact with Service Desk and/or publishers in the event of non-arrival of pdfs and hard copies.
Notifies all relevant stakeholders of publication status.
Ensures that all content is accurately marked-off on publication tracking spreadsheets.
Summarizes Sky News Online articles at dedicated points throughout the day.
Uses MMReader application to read and tag content if/when required.
Answers queries for internal stakeholders promptly and clearly.
Actions requests for corrective measures and/or customized content from internal stakeholders promptly.
Manages and responds to requests for Sky News Online article summarization.
Requirements
Tertiary qualifications preferred but not essential.
Experience with editing software, word processing and/or data entry.
Familiarity or experience in the media monitoring industry is desirable.
Experience in adapting to constantly changing work environments.
Previous experience delivering to strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
Preferably with 2 years of experience, but not required.
