Preschool Assistant Teacher interested in progressive education, student-centered learning, and building relationship-driven environments. We need committed, proactive, open-minded, passionate, collaborative and reflective teachers.
Educate and care for children younger than age 5 who have not yet entered kindergarten
- Guide children using the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education
Stimulate learning of language, motor, and social skills to young children by encouraging self-expression, communication, logical thinking, and problem-solving- Watch for signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring them to the attention of the parents
Relevant work experience gained as a private tutor, teaching assistant, or early childhood education teacher is an advantage- LET certification is an advantage
Preferably graduates of BS/MA in Education/Teaching/Training, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or Psychology
- Has technical skills with basic Microsoft functions, Canva, etc.
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills to talk to parents and colleagues about students progress- Has patience and enthusiasm for children and able to understand children's emotional needs
Can adapt and respond calmly to overwhelming and difficult situations
- Open to learning and willing to be mentored; Collaborative; Emphatic; Reliable; Can work with young children
