BEEd major in Teaching Early Grades, or.
BEEd with 21 units in Early Childhood Education,
BSE with 21 units in Early Childhood Education, and.
BS Psychology with at least 18 units in Preschool Education;
- Duties and Responsibilities:
A preschool teacher is responsible for the early education of children. Duties and Responsibilities include designing interactive learning programs to educate and engage young children. He/she must be able to teach students with interactive lesson plans about basic fundamentals, like numbers, colors, and shapes, and help children build their social skills.
- Design and develop interactive educational learning content such as lesson plans, tests, and homework.
- Establish and enforce rules of behavior for children in their classrooms
- Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
- Deliver personalized instruction to each student by encouraging interactive learning.
- Manage classroom activities including lessons, play, and snack time breaks.
- Prepare student progress reports and attend parent-teacher meetings.
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom to ensure all students are learning in a safe and productive environment.
- Help children reach developmental milestones.
- Encourage children to interact with each other to develop social skills
- Provide appropriate supervision for children at all times
- Maintain an inventory system for classroom materials and supplies.
- Prepare and release class packets
- Prepare examination manuscripts
