An accredited DENR-EMB Pollution Control Officer and well-oriented in managing environmental issues.
Liaise with government organizations and other regulatory agencies (DENR-EMB, LLDA, LGU, etc.) on environmental matters.
Conducts environmental aspects and impacts identification, risk assessment and controls in the project sites and develops measures as required by the environmental protection legislative bodies.
Develops environmental management programs and policies and leads in the implementation at the construction site.
Evaluates environmental issues and concerns, develops and monitors implementation of mitigating measures.
Submits required monthly environment report to government and other regulatory organizations
Monitors the proper disposal and treatment of hazardous wastes.
Ensures proper handling of solid wastes.
The PCO together with the Process Owners shall analyze and evaluate results of air emission tests and smoke density monitoring. Results shall be compared to specific requirements set by government agencies to which the company needs to comply.
Pollution Control shall facilitate monitoring of air emission tests of all air pollution facilities at stationary sources.
PCO shall assess all existing chemicals being used by NECO for its operation for any unsafe or harmful characteristics and components that will affect human health or environment.
