PLANT MECHANICAL ENGINEERING AND MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineering & Maintenance Manager assumes full responsibility for managing the Mechanical Maintenance & Engineering of the Plant. The role encompasses overseeing critical aspects of mechanical systems, maintenance, and engineering processes.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance Program to ensure that all plant equipment is well maintained and operational at all times.

2. Manages, directs, evaluates and develops direct reports and leads the Mechanical Maintenance and Engineering Department and its employees.

3. Oversee the execution of mechanical maintenance jobs with the highest level of quality, safety, and effectiveness at minimum cost to maximize availability of plant facilities through continuous improvement and preventive maintenance systems/procedures.

4. Responsible for the maintenance and provide technical repair expertise of all building and facilities in the plant and the staff houses, including but not limited to plant building structures and roofing, water and sanitary systems, piping systems, air-conditioning systems, waste water facilities roads, staff house building-external and internal roofing and structures, industrial water pumps and amenities in the plants.

5. Identify potential hazards related to maintenance activities and participate in job safety analysis.

Qualifications:

• be a licensed Mechanical Engineer or related field
• years experience in Maintenance and Engineering Management
• in managing projects with interdependencies with other project development teams and timelines, especially in large industrial plants, preferably in steel manufacturing.
• and experience in all aspects of electro-mechanical controls and software on heavy industrial machineries.
• experience in all aspects of building and maintaining high performance within development teams and promoting innovation within the team.
• Management and ISO 9001|2008/2015 knowledge and implementation.
