Job Summary:The Plant Manager oversees Production, R&D, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Logistics to achieve targeted gross margins and net income through process redesign, reformulations, and cost-effective strategies.
Monitor operational expenses against budget.- Investigate deviations in output and overtime.
Review requisition and CAPEX requests for budget compliance.
- Control raw material and packaging costs through sourcing and innovation.
Monitor personnel, utility, and supplies expenses.
- Warehouse and Logistics Oversight:
Ensure timely shipping and delivery of products.- Check delivery routes and truck bookings.
Investigate delivery discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Material Replenishment Management:
Align production output with sales forecasts and usage.
- Monitor raw material usage and update forecasting for new products.
- Facility and Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and safety standards.
- Review contractor service reports and pest control trends.
Conduct regular meetings to address employee issues.
- Develop training programs for safety and manufacturing practices.
- Reporting and Coordination:
Prepare various reports (budget, performance, incentives).
- Coordinate with management on new products and material changes.
- BS in Industrial Engineering is strongly encouraged; substantial experience as a plant manager with a background in food technology is also acceptable.
- Experience or ability to work closely with procurement, R&D, and logistics.
- At least five years of experience managing a plant, preferably in the food/retail or manufacturing industry; three years is acceptable for a single corporation.
