RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determine treatment plans in coordination with physician's prescribed orders.
- Meet the patient(s) goals according to their needs by objective physical assessment.
- Instructs, encourages, and assists with patients in performing physical activities, such as therapeutic exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities with the use of assistive and supportive devices (crutches, walker, canes, and prostheses)
- Administer manual exercises for pain management and modalities to decrease or relieve pain.
- Promotes patient education with his/her condition and reinforcing independence with the patient's self-care activities and other activities of daily living.
- Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
- Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Determine the prognosis and plan of care.
- Conducts re-examination, notes changes and any improvements, progression or regression on patient's condition to modify interventions.
- 10. Ensures patient confidentiality including of colleagues and of the hospital.
