Assumes the functions and responsibilities of Senior Pharmacist in her absence;- Assist in planning, organizing and implementing pharmacy policies and procedures in accordance with established policies of the hospital and other governing agencies;
Guides subordinates in work prioritization and specific tasks to be performed and reviewed;
- Dispense medicines and supplies as requested by the various nursing units;
Monitors drug availability and their corresponding expiry date at all times;- Conducts inventory of medicines and supplies on a monthly basis;
Inspects stocks, equipment and requisitions as needed;
- Inform doctor and nurses about the availability of new products and those that are out of stock;
Prepares and conducts emergency purchase from different drug stores and hospitals;- Prepares requisition of medicine and supplies to PSMD and post-delivery receipts;
Explains direction for prescription use of medicines to out-patients;
- Performs daily reconciliation of medicines returned from NSO;
Controls and records Dangerous Drugs to records books and files prescriptions as mandated by Dangerous Drug Board;- Reviews and evaluates eligibility for senior citizens cards;
Supervises student apprentice;
- Maintain professional expertise by attending continuing education programs / trainings / seminars.
Ensures compliance with IMS standards and policies;- Performs other task related to the department that may be assigned from time to time.
