We are seeking a Senior Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Australian Tax Accounting within a Public Practice firm.

Job Summary:
As the Senior Accountant, you will manage all production accounting tasks, including preparing, reviewing, and analysing financial statements and meeting taxation obligations to ensure high-quality and professional accounting results.
You should have a strong understanding of Australian taxation regulations, proficient bookkeeping skills, and familiarity with administrative procedures. Experience with Xero software is desirable.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Attend weekly company training and taxation training sessions.
- Review the work of less experienced team members and delegate tasks as directed by your manager.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly business activity statements.
- Prepare annual tax returns and financial accounts for SMSFs.
- Prepare annual tax returns and financial accounts for:
- Individuals
- Sole traders
- Partnerships
- Companies
- Trusts
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying any discrepancies and resolving them promptly.
- Stay updated on changes in taxation laws and regulations to ensure compliance and advise clients accordingly.
- Mentor and train junior staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring high standards of work.
