About The Role
They're looking for an outstanding people person to hit the ground running on HR business partnership for their global team
As they continue to grow as a global team, your purpose is to improve/ensure organizational compliance with global HR regulations, manage global payroll operations and reporting, support People Business Partnering initiatives, and assist in Employee Relations and Employee Experience efforts. As a key People & Culture team member, you'll contribute to operational activities, programs, and projects that make our client a place where people can do their best work.
What You'll Do
- Ensuring adherence to employment laws and regulations
- Mitigating legal risks by staying updated on compliance standards
- Acting as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to managers on People/compliance-related issues
- Fostering positive employee relations and resolve conflicts effectively
- Contributing to talent management initiatives to attract and retain top talent
- Ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Maintaining confidentiality of payroll information and protect employee privacy
- Addressing payroll discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed
What You'll Need
You are an expert in global HR compliance and payroll operations with exceptional analytical skills. You are adept at navigating complex systems and encouraging the support of your stakeholders to tackle compliance challenges together.
In addition, you are someone who:
- Has a strong background in HR compliance regulations and global payroll management, particularly in complying with Australian legislation
- Navigates complex HRIS systems and payroll software
- Communicates compliance policies and payroll procedures effectively
- Focuses on accuracy in payroll processing and compliance documentation
- Identifies the root causes of compliance issues and implements corrective actions
- Stays organized and meets compliance deadlines independently
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to streamline organizational compliance efficiency
- Provides guidance and support to junior team members or leaders in navigating People/compliance issues
- Seeks legal guidance when interpreting complex regulations, and has a professional network or access to forums to seek advice on compliance challenges
- Leverages technical support for troubleshooting or implementing systems
You must also have:
- 10 years of progressive experience in HR/People & Culture teams, preferably with global exposure to business partnering, payroll, and compliance activities
