We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations across EMEA, APAC, and Canada. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes in multiple countries, the ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders, and excellent communication skills to address employee payroll queries. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for preparing payroll reports, coordinating with our external payroll company, and verifying payment accuracy before disbursement. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proficient with HR and payroll systems, and committed to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
Your Focus:
Data Management in BambooHR:
Collaborate with the HR team to maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in BambooHR, including managing new hires, terminations, salary changes, benefits, and deductions across different countries.
Perform regular audits of employee records in BambooHR to ensure the accuracy of payroll-related information, such as hours worked, paid time off, and other key variables.
Payroll Preparation and Reporting:
Prepare and compile accurate payroll input data and reports for multiple countries, ensuring they are ready for submission to the payroll service provider.
Calculate employee earnings, deductions, and contributions according to local regulations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate payroll submissions across all relevant countries.
Payment Verification:
Review payroll calculations from the payroll service provider for multiple countries to ensure compliance with local laws, company policies, and tax regulations.
Verify that payments are correctly processed across various currencies, identifying and resolving discrepancies before final approval.
Conduct post-payroll audits for different countries to confirm accuracy and report findings to management.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including HR, Finance, and IT teams, to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Address and resolve employee payroll queries, providing clear and timely communication to ensure employee satisfaction.
Your Background:
Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, Payroll Administrator, or in a similar role with experience managing multi-country payroll.
Familiarity with HRIS systems, particularly BambooHR.
Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and relevant labour laws across different countries.
Proficient in Excel and other reporting tools.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and time zones.
Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum 2-3 years of payroll experience in a similar role, including managing payroll for multiple countries.
