Duties and Responsibilities:- Performs all processes related to the preparation of seafarers shipboard payroll for selected vessels and payroll groups through the Crew Management System (CMS) Payroll System such as, but not limited to:
a. Encoding/updating of allotment details of joining or onboard seafarers
b. Review and approval of allotments/special allotments, other earnings, other deductions, and time-bound element
c. Review of salary rates in Edit Contract screen of CMS versus the signed Employment Agreement
d. Review and approval of backpay and unprocessed pay elements
e. Review of wage variables
f. Processing of final wages for offsigner
g. Closing of monthly payroll per assigned payroll groups
h. Responsible in encoding cash advances paid in Manila for deduction from seafarers payroll in CMS.
- Responsible in the preparation of bank debit advice for rejoining bonus and cash advances.
- Accomplishes improvement and expansion of personal contribution to organization's goal.
- Performs delegated functions that will contribute to employee's professional growth and development.
- Qualifications:
- Graduate of a four-year accounting course.
- Minimum of two (2) years work experience handling payroll and billing statements preferably in a manning agency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer).
- Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated accounting system.
- Articulate, approachable, and customer service oriented.
- Demonstrates professional maturity, integrity, sound judgment and energy to deliver.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
- Excellent problem and judgment skills and high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
