Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Processing: Manage the end-to-end processing of payroll transactions, including data entry, verification, and ensuring accuracy of payroll calculations for employees.
Account Reconciliations: Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies. This includes ensuring that payroll transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger and that payroll expenses are properly allocated.
Reporting: Prepare and analyze payroll reports for management and other departments as needed. This may include reports on payroll costs, headcount, benefits, and tax liabilities.Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations. This includes calculating payroll taxes, preparing tax deposits, and filing payroll tax returns in a timely manner.
  • Benefit Administration: Coordinate payroll deductions related to employee benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary deductions.
General Ledger Entries: Post payroll journal entries to the general ledger and reconcile payroll accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Audit Support: Assist in audits related to payroll transactions and provide supporting documentation as required.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in payroll processing and general accounting functions. Implement changes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Communication: Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to resolve payroll-related issues and ensure smooth payroll operations.
Compliance and Policies: Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Develop and maintain payroll policies and procedures.
System Management: Utilize payroll software systems effectively, including troubleshooting issues, implementing upgrades, and ensuring data integrity.Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries and issues.
  • Qualifications:
Graduate of Business Administration, Accounting, or any Business related course.
  • 1 to 2 years experience in payroll processing and tax filings.
Basic knowledge of Accounting Process
  • Tax Competence, Compliance, and Financial Theory
Communication, Listening, and Writing
  • Critical Thinking and Analytical Skills
