Job Title: Medical Biller

Job Summary:
The Medical Biller is responsible for managing and overseeing
the billing process for medical services provided. This role
involves utilizing various systems and platforms to ensure
accurate and timely submission of claims, managing
follow-ups, and coordinating with insurance companies. The
ideal candidate will have proficiency in Availity and MyAbility
platforms and a strong understanding of insurance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Claims Processing:
Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance
companies using Availity and MyAbility platforms.
Verify patient information, insurance details, and
medical codes to ensure accuracy before submission.
- Insurance Company Coordination:
Communicate with insurance companies to resolve
claim denials and rejections.
Ensure that all claims are processed in accordance
with the insurance company's policies and
procedures.
- Follow-Up and Resolution:
Monitor and track the status of submitted claims.
Follow up on outstanding claims and address any
issues or discrepancies that arise.
Work with the healthcare team to gather additional
documentation or information required for claim
resolution.
- Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of all billing activities and
communications with insurance companies.
Generate and analyze reports on claims status,
denials, and payment trends to identify areas for
improvement.
- Compliance and Best Practices:
Stay updated with changes in medical billing
regulations, coding updates, and insurance policies.
Ensure that all billing practices comply with
healthcare regulations and company policies.
- Customer Service:
Provide exceptional service to patients and healthcare
providers by addressing billing inquiries and resolving
issues promptly.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in
Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
Proven experience as a Medical Biller or similar role, with
hands-on experience in Availity and MyAbility.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT/ICD codes,
and billing procedures.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
effectively.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact
professionally with insurance companies and healthcare
providers.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Php170.00 - Php175.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 30 per week
