As an AUParaplanner, you'll be at the forefront of providing high-quality financial advice, handling the meticulous preparation of Statements of Advice (SOA), research, and insurance paraplanning. From detailed data collection and analysis to implementing strategies and maintaining compliance, you'll ensure all documents align with industry standards.

Job Overview: Financial Precision Meets Client Focus
Employment type: Full-Time
Shift: Day Shift, Mon - Fri 08:30 AM - 05:30 PM (Fixed weekends off)
Work setup: Permanent Work From Home

List of Responsibilities: Craft Wealth Strategies with Precision
  • Collaborate with the team to prepare the Statement of Advice (SOA)

Research clients existing superannuation and investment portfolios, including:

  • Data collection forms
  • Fees
  • Asset allocation
  • Benefits
  • Associated reports (e.g., capital gains)
  • Prepare the Statement of Advice by:
  • Entering proposed strategies (as advised by the Adviser)
  • Completing comparisons
  • Completing required compliance paperwork
  • Ensuring all advice documents align with legislated compliance standards and requirements
  • Implement Wealth Advice strategies by:
  • Processing roll-overs from current investments and superannuation
  • Opening new platform accounts
  • Following up with clients and communicating throughout the implementation process
  • Insurance Paraplanning
  • Complete data collection forms
  • Prepare insurance quotes
  • Draft Statements of Advice (SOAs) and conduct risk research
  • Upon case completion:
  • Send cancellation letters
  • Notify clients of insurance in force
  • Update Xplan and WIP
  • Prepare files for compliance checks

Lodgement Checklists

  • Prepare and submit all lodgement checklists in accordance with GPSWealth standards and timelines

Standard of Work

  • Ensure all work complies with legislated standards
  • Manage assigned tasks efficiently communicate any delays to your manager
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality of client and business information
  • Accurately maintain client records in compliance with the Records Management Act
  • Develop effective personal business practices and time management proactively seek additional work if capacity allows or notify the team if workload exceeds capacity

Attitude and Team Participation

  • Actively participate in the team, contributing to a positive work environment
  • Report directly to the Practice Manager, Daniel Estigoy
  • Accept guidance and feedback from managers positively
  • Maintain professionalism at all times
  • Proactively address workload concerns by approaching your manager if:
  • You encounter obstacles preventing task completion
  • You have insufficient tasks to maintain full capacity
  • Your workload exceeds your capacity, facilitating workload balancing within the team

Requirements

Qualifications Needed: Secure Success in Financial Planning

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the Australian Financial Planning, with at least 3 years in a dedicated Paraplanning role
  • Professionalism and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively
  • Willingness to seek help or offer assistance when workload demands fluctuate
  • Proficiency in Xplan software (essential)
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database systems
  • Experience in financial advice processes, compliance, and implementation
  • Solid knowledge of Xplan software (essential)
  • Strong skills in Word, Excel, and keyboard usage
  • Knowledge of Midwinter software (essential)
  • Experience with electronic databases (essential)
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a small office if required
  • Flexibility, high organization, and accustomed to handling multiple tasks
