We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal with a law degree to join our team. This remote position will require the candidate to work according to UK business hours, providing vital legal support to our team. The successful candidate will assist in a wide range of legal tasks, including legal research, document preparation, and case management, while working collaboratively with solicitors and legal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research on various cases, statutes, and legal precedents
- Document Preparation: Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, and discovery materials
- Case Management: Assist in managing case files, including organizing and maintaining legal documents, correspondence, and evidence
- Client Communication: Communicate with clients and external parties, ensuring proper coordination of information and legal requirements
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all legal procedures and maintain high standards of confidentiality
- Court Filings: Assist in preparing and filing documents with courts or regulatory authorities as required
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the legal team, including scheduling meetings, maintaining legal calendars, and coordinating with external legal professionals
Requirements
- Law Degree (LLB or equivalent): Required for this position
- Experience: Previous experience in a paralegal or legal support role is beneficial but not mandatory
- Research & Analytical Skills: Strong legal research and analytical skills, with attention to detail
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Technology: Proficiency in legal research tools and software, as well as general office applications such as MS Office
- Team Player: Ability to work independently while being an effective team member
- Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive legal matters with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times
