A Paralegal, or Corporate Paralegal, assists lawyers in preparing and organizing various legal documents for upcoming cases and trials. Their main duties include preparing affidavits and correspondence, discussing case details with attorneys and clients and organizing different files for different legal proceedings.
- Duties and responsibilities
Summarizes cases and prepares reports for attorneys
- Conducts research, investigates facts
Assists in the development of legal arguments and opinions- Drafts legal documents such as contracts, affidavits and pleadings
Assists in the preparation and filing of documents with courts, government offices and agencies
- Organizes the documents related to completed and ongoing cases, application and renewal of necessary permits and licenses
Keeps track of changes in legal framework and providing timely updates on these changes.
Education Any 4 year course (a Law degree is an advantage)- Abilities Good organizational, prioritization and time management skills.
Experience at least two (2) years relevant to the position or the industry of the company
- Other personal characteristics Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Availability to work overtime, weekends and holidays if needed
- Willing to work in office
Willing to do site visit if needed.
