The Paralegal will function as a legal assistant to the Corporate Legal Counsel in managing legal and corporate matters for the company and will provide support in various legal, corporate, administrative, and human resource tasks, including research, drafting, and preparation of various legal, corporate, administrative, and human resource documents, letters, memorandum, notices, and forms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Management, Political Science, or related field. Law students or Law undergraduates are also welcome to apply.
With 1-2 years experience as a Paralegal in a corporate or law firm/office setting.- Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
Strong analytical thinking ability.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration.- Knowledge of legal procedures and regulations, corporate law, labor law, and other applicable laws.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Familiarity with computer and online programs, and research tools.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general support to the Corporate Legal Counsel in all legal, corporate, administrative, human resource, financial, client, supplier, operations, and all other matters where the Corporate Legal Counsel's guidance and assistance is needed.
Conduct legal research and analysis and stay updated on changes in legal regulations and procedures, particularly, the new issuances from the SEC, DOLE, BIR, SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, DOE, and ERC.- Handle administrative tasks to support the Corporate Legal Counsel, such as managing calendars and scheduling appointments, in coordination with the Executive/Corporate Secretary.
Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and other court documents, and file the same with the courts, if required.
- Draft and prepare corporate documents, agreements, contracts, visual presentations for meetings, and business letters.
Draft and prepare human resource or administrative memorandum, notices, administrative investigation/hearing reports, and disciplinary action memorandum.- Assist the Human Resource Department in drafting and preparing the Company's Handbook, Employee Code of Discipline, and the like.
Maintain and organize legal and corporate files and documents, including the Corporate Legal Counsel's notarial records, and archive documents related to completed matters.
- Coordinate with the General Manager, Administrative Personnel, Human Resource Personnel, and Operations Personnel regarding all required legal guidance and assistance, and communicate the same with the Corporate Legal Counsel.
Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive and confidential legal and corporate information.- Monitor and ensure compliance with deadlines and legal requirements.
