About Us:Our company is a well-established car repair shop specializing in high-quality vehicle repairs and restorations. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Panel Beater to join our dynamic team.
The Panel Beater will be responsible for repairing and replacing damaged vehicle panels, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of safety and quality. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a thorough understanding of vehicle body repair techniques.
Assess Damage:
Inspect vehicles to assess the extent of damage and determine the best course of action for repairs.Repair Work:
Perform all types of body repairs including removing dents, filling, sanding, and straightening metal panels.Replacement: Replace damaged panels, sections, or components with new or refurbished parts.
- Finishing: Smooth out repaired areas and apply primer and finish coats to achieve a high-quality finish.
Welding and Fabrication:
Use welding and metal fabrication skills to restore vehicle structure and bodywork.Alignment:
Ensure that panels are correctly aligned and fit seamlessly with the vehicle's structure.Tools and Equipment: Use all necessary tools and equipment efficiently and safely.
- Quality Control: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.
Customer Service:
Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to provide updates and ensure customer satisfaction.Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Panel Beater or in a similar role within the automotive industry.Education:
Relevant qualifications in automotive body repair (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).Skills: Proficient in metalworking, welding, and body repair techniques.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to perform precise work and maintain high standards of craftsmanship.
Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Physical Stamina:
Good physical condition and stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.Team Player: Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively.
