• Key Responsibilities:

• Sales Performance:

Accurately interpret and process detailed work orders and prescriptions for optical equipment, including contact lenses and eyeglasses.

• Utilize both manual and computer-aided tools to craft, shape, and customize lenses and optical devices.

Measure and inspect finished lenses to ensure they meet exacting standards, addressing any defects by polishing, shaping, or remaking as necessary.

• Perform quality checks on completed products, ensuring functionality and aesthetic standards are met, and manage shipping and documentation tasks.

Collaborate with laboratory personnel and optometrists to develop innovative procedures that enhance the fit, effectiveness, and comfort of optical devices.

• Efficiently handle repair work orders by selecting the best repair methods or manufacturing replacement equipment to meet specifications.

Support store sales by assisting on the sales floor when needed.

• Lenses and Equipment:

Organize and maintain an inventory of lenses.

• Set up and adjust laboratory equipment specifications to ensure precise and efficient fulfillment of work orders.

• Learning and Development:

Engage in on-the-job training to master all laboratory equipment and mentor new laboratory technicians.

• Qualifications:

At least High School graduate

• Attention to detail and a passion for precision.

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.

• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently as needed.

Good communication skills.
