We have an exciting opportunity for maritime professionals looking to join our dynamic team as an Operations Support Officer. This permanent position is ideally suited to someone who has a background or familiarity in vessel operations/support functions and wants to advance their career in a supportive workplace.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

In this role you will:


Support operations throughout all phases of voyage execution for allocated vessels.

Process Off-Hire cases from initial registration to approval.

Interact daily with vessels, vessel managers and G2 Ocean`s Trade/Operation teams.

Prepare LOIs (Letter of Indemnity) as linked with non- presentation of Bills of Lading.

Nominate and coordinate periodic underwater services with various local service providers as hull inspections, propeller polish and hull cleanings contributing to enhanced vessel performance.

Review vessel condition reports, initiate dialogue with vessel manager on low performers.

Manage the cash-to-master (CTM) process until delivery to vessels.

Issuing stevedores damage claims and arrange for settlements.

Follow up on RightShip inspections status arranged by vessel managers and chase for close-outs as needed.

Coordinate with the Equipment Team for arranging anti-piracy kits and other related requirements for

high-risk piracy areas.

Assist with ad-hoc tasks related to the job holder's duties and support function.

For this position we are looking for:


Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in Maritime, Economics, Logistics fields.

Maritime experience, including sea going and related shore positions, may be evaluated as equivalent to academic education.

Proficiency in relevant business applications e.g. MS Office 365, Voyage Management Systems, Performance Management systems

Strong proficiency in English as well as excellent communication, interpersonal and cross-cultural skills are required.
