The Operations Supervisor for Container Van Maintenance leads and manages the maintenance and repair of all container van units within the company container yards, and ensures optimal level of container yard utilization at any given time. The role ensures that the container van units processed for maintenance and repairs meet the acceptable criteria before re-endorsement for use in business operations. The role spearheads the container van repairs and maintenance activities, inspects repaired units, monitors utilization and repair quotas, ensures readiness and availability of repair tools and materials, and appropriately prepares relevant reports and updates. The role also assists the Container Yard Jr. Manager in relevant logistical processes such as maintaining an optimal hustling dwell time.
Put in place an effective operational plan that addresses the maintenance and repair needs of PSACC for its container van units. This covers crafting and implementing:
- Standard operational procedures (SOPs) for PSACC's container van maintenance and repairs
- Inventory Management for Container Van Units subject for preventive maintenance and repairs with respect to Container Yard Utilization
Repair materials, tools, equipment used, and resources consumed for the preventive maintenance and repair activities
Scheduling of manpower and container yard activities
Engage in process improvement initiatives to further streamline costs, improve turn-around-times, and promote better safety procedures
Guarantees the submission of timely and accurate reports and updates to stakeholders.
Ensure the timely and accurate reflection of information on all relevant dashboards, reports, monitoring pages, etc.
