Job Summary:The Operations Coordinator works directly with Operations Supervisor to ensure all administrative, operational, and purchasing tasks are completed efficiently to achieve project goals and meet customer needs.
- Primary Job Responsibilities:
Support office staff and executives with general operational tasks.- Follows up with Engineers on the status and work flows for their projects.
Follows up with vendors, orders, parts, and services for projects.
- Provides support to the Operations Supervisor in maintaining on time project schedules.
Executes and follows up on the items required from the weekly production meetings.- Closely monitors the departmental metrics and performance of vendors and items purchased.
Supports the Operations Supervisor on all operations and purchasing for the department.
- Maintain positive and professional staff and client relationships; Greet visitors or callers and handle their inquiries or direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.
Responds to email from customers regarding the status of their projects.- Plan and schedule meetings, presentations, and other office related events; send reminders regarding upcoming appointments.
Schedule and confirm appointments for clients, customers, or supervisors.
- Create, maintain, and enter information into databases.
Maintain all paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents, client records, correspondence, or other material.- Perform administrative tasks like filing, making copies, ordering supplies, answer phones, etc.
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
Prior Operations experience required
- Manufacturing background preferred
Engineering background preferred- Must have excellent communication skills
Must be computer literate and proficient in the use of word and excel
- Specific Skills and Characteristics:
Proficient in entire Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook/
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills- Self-starter who works well independently
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently
