Job Summary: The Operations Auditor will be responsible for conducting comprehensive audits of cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory management across various departments. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate findings effectively. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy of financial records, safeguarding company assets, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Conduct thorough audits of cash handling processes, including cash reconciliations, cash counts, and cash flow management.
- Review and analyze sales transactions to verify accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Audit inventory management procedures, including inventory counts, stock levels, and inventory control measures.- Identify discrepancies, irregularities, and potential areas of risk within cash, sales, and inventory operations.
Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with department managers to implement improvements and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and follow up on outstanding audit issues.- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to cash, sales, and inventory management.
Assist in developing and updating audit programs, checklists, and audit procedures.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on internal controls and audit requirements.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in auditing, preferably within operations or financial auditing.- Strong understanding of cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory management processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Proficiency in using audit software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
