The Operating Room Technician is responsible for providing technical support to surgeons and other medical professionals in the operating room. The technician will assist in the preparation of operating room instruments and equipment, set up and maintain the sterile field, prepare and pass instruments to surgeons, and provide post-operative care. The technician's role is essential to ensuring patient safety and comfort and providing a successful surgical outcome.
- Duties and Responsibilities
Set up, maintain, and prepare the operating room for surgery
- Gather and prepare the necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies for each procedure
Ensure all equipment is in proper working order- Maintain a sterile field throughout the procedure
Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon during the procedure
- Assist in the transfer of the patient to the recovery room
Clean and restock the operating room after each procedure- Maintenance of Machines used before and after the procedure
Keep accurate records of supplies used and patient information
- Requirements and Qualifications
Graduate of any Bachelors Degree or equivalent or NC2 Holder of Healthcare Services or Caregiving Course
- Previous experience as an OR Tech is a must
Background in handling Endoscopy machines is an advantage- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred
Knowledge of surgical instruments and supplies
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Able to lift and move heavy objects- Able to stand for extended periods
Trained on CPR certification and current BLS certification is an advantage but we can provide
- Must be willing to work in shifting / rotation schedule
Can reliably commute or drive going to ARCA South Taguig
