Open Cart Developer

CPH Group is Australia's leading supplier to the signage and wide format digital print industries. We run a tailored e-commerce website selling nationally, and we've recently gone live with the latest rebuild of our site. However, there are still a variety of projects and ongoing improvements required.

About the Role: We're looking for a talented freelance Open Cart Developer to join our team on a project-by-project basis.

This is a Freelance, part time casual role with the potential to move to permanent.

You'll work closely with our head developer on various projects primarily converting design concepts from Figma into responsive web template code and adding custom features.

Key Responsibilities:

Transforming design briefs (e.g., Figma/Photoshop) into responsive HTML templates.

Ensuring consistency with the website's appearance and theme.

Proposing and documenting solutionsfor custom feature development.

Testing and confirming your own work during development.

Collaborating with the team using Git/GitHub.

Required Skills:

2+ years of experience in OpenCart development, including custom module and theme development.

Excellent written and spoken English skills.

High proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML/CSS, and jQuery (without frameworks).

Ability to program from scratch and debug effectively.

Strong understanding of eCommerce best practices (e.g., UX, cart functionality, and security)

Proven success working to tight deadlines with high attention to detail.

Proven track record of working as a freelancer, meeting deadlines, and communicating effectively with offshoreclients.

Hourly Rate: Hourly rate will be based on level of experience.
