ABOUT THE COMPANYHailing from the prominent Filpride Group, Malayan Maritime Services, Inc. (MMSI) was established to handle the growing demand for tugboat services to ensure the safe towing and berthing/unberthing of larger ships. Initially partnering with its sister company, Insular Oil Corporation Terminal located in Sasa, Davao, it has since grown to service more customers from different industries, both local and foreign alike. MMSI now caters to a wide variety of commercial ships, docking and undocking in the many ports in the Davao Region such as Sasa, Kudos, Panabo, Malalag, reaching CDO, Cebu and Batangas.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs engine room watch with the Engineers
Cleans and maintains the Engine Room
Helps maintains and repair engine
Repairs and welds deck and engine part
Assists the Engineer in the management and maintenance of the engine room and its machinery
Performs navigational and anchor watch
Familiarizes himself with the handling of various machinery and equipment parts
Perform such other functions as may be assigned by his superiors
Proficient in survival craft and rescue boats
Knowledgeable in port and/or tug operations, analytical, interpersonal skills, customer oriented, administrative skills, process oriented.
Experience on Z-Peller and Duck-Peller tugboats in harbor assisting and towages.
With valid Documents and Trainings
Willing to be assigned to any location as required
