Job Overview:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an OHS / HR Administrator. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. The OHS / HR Administrator will work closely with various departments to ensure compliance and contribute to the overall well-being of our employees.
Maintain Personnel Files- Prepare, issue and file HR letters e.g., Promotions, salary increase, bonus, change of hours, end of probation letters, etc.
Collect and file onboarding paperwork
- Prepare, issue and file Restraint of Trade letter
- 2. OHS/Workcover administration
Respond to email queries.
- Review and determine pre-employment medical assessments.
Review and determine work fit assessments.- Ensue employee certificates of capacity are updated.
Approve invoices.
Review new incidents added into our data base.- Contact employees following new incident, OHS introduction & health wellbeing check
Support department efficiencies
Continue to develop methods in which procedures or tools (electronic or otherwise) can be utilised to save time and resources without compromise our service delivery.- Embrace a continual improvement mindset.
Use team brain storming activities to fully maximise improvements/efficiency potential.
- Pursue best practice principles.
- 4. Problem Resolution (Internal & External)
Takes responsibility to address problems quickly and effectively.
- Resolve any potential for a problem to re-occur.

OHS responsibilities
Takes reasonable care for your own safety and that of anyone else who could be affected by your actions.- Fully cooperate with APS in any action it considers necessary to maintain a working environment which is safe and without risk to health
Comply with OHS requirements of client workplaces
- 6. APS Management System Compliance
Adheres to all aspects of the APS Management System within their job function to ensure compliance
As directed
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, HR or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Strong knowledge of OHS regulations and best practices.- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using relevant software for record-keeping and data analysis.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in emergency situations.- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
