International SOS is currently pooling for emergency offshore doctors for potential offshore or onshore projects which are likely to be in the Middle East, Africa or Asia Pacific.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years current nurse experience in offshore vessels or platform
- Strong Emergency or ICU experience in hospital setting
- Hold a valid license to practice or medical registration from country of origin.
- Hold a valid offshore certification such as BOSIET/FOET which is OPITO approved
- Hold a valid ACLS and BLS certification (or be prepared to obtain at your own cost)
- Hold a valid ATLS/ITLS or equivalent certification (or be prepared to obtain at your own cost)
- Hold a valid passport
- Hold a valid seaman's book
Job Description:
- Undertake clinical consultations and provide a high standard of service and care to patients attending the clinic;
- Treat all clinical presentations to the minimal effective level of care in an effort to reduce client lost time exposure without compromising patient wellbeing or recovery times
- Assist with the implementation of preventative medical care strategies
- Assist with ensuring appropriate patient triage and flow within the clinic
- Manage emergency notifications according to client's medical emergency response plan and approved MERP
- Manage the delivery of competent and professional health services
