The Occupational Health Nurse is responsible for general management and review of allocated cases within the fit-for-work IAS platform.
To effectively and efficiently provide the day-to-day operational and administrative work effort required to deliver the WorkSafe services in line with client service agreements, while adhering to the WorkSafe policies and procedures.
Ensure efficient and effective administrative co-ordination between the WorkSafe Administration team, WorkSafe Medical Team, Providers, International SOS Assistance Centres and the Client HR Representatives.
Responsibilities:
- Attend transmission and be proactive in case management based on high priority cases identified in conjunction with the IAS team.
- Tracks IAS employees certificates on fitness for work, clearance to travel overseas, transfers, follow ups, RTWs.
- Assist IAS MD in organizing, participating, and administering health service programs that integrate occupational safety and health through consolidation, analysis of available clinic data and providing recommendations for improvement of working environment affecting the health and well-being of IAS employees.
- Analysis of medical reports where required and clear documentation of the findings for each case.
- Maintain a high-quality standard in reviewing of cases.
- Be responsible for identifying and monitoring the assignee's concerns and requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring that there is reasonable case handover within the team as necessary at the beginning, during and at the end of each shift (or commencement of leave). Also, responsible to ensure there are no valid cases that will roll over to the following working day (which will negatively impact the internal platform goal dates and indicative of teamwork).
Required Skills, Knowledge and Work Experience
- Nurse with valid license registration from Philippines Regulations Commission (PRC).
- Woking in an occupational health setting for at least 2 years will be highly advantageous (including audiometry and spirometry).
- Must be literate and proficient in the usage of contemporary computer software including Microsoft Office.
- Must already have a valid Tax Identification Number and Vaccination Card.
- Must possess basic knowledge of international healthcare practices and country-based environmental risks.
- Must demonstrate cultural competencies and respectful care to employees and/or patients.
- Excellent written and spoken English.

Holds the following training certificates and national membership:
+ Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH)
+ Member with Occupational Health Nurses of the Philippines (OHNAP)
+ Life Support and First Aid
Should the applicant not be in possession of the relevant Occupational Health qualifications, it will be a job requirement for the qualified applicant to complete the occupational health training course during the course of employment. This must then be completed within an acceptable time frame following commencement of employment.
