_:Assist the patient and relative in Activity of daily living. Take vital signs,IVT, Bring specimen to Laboratory department and results. Serves as in getting medicine and supplies for Nurses. Report abnormal vital signs to Nurses.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform direct nursing care;
- Assist in the admission and / discharge of patient
- Assist in patient maintain their personal hygiene
- Give TSB, applies ice pack/ cold hot compress.
- Checking of oxygen, ensure safety by placing straps and oxygen braces.
- Bringing of Oxygen to patient and placing of No smoking signs, braces and straps.
a. Assist the nurses during the procedures.
b. Gives simple skin care to back and other pressure areas.
c. Gives perineal care.
d. Perform post mortem care.
- Assist in the preparation of patients for treatment, examination, and surgery.
- Collects specimen ( urine, stool) label the said specimen and bring to
Laboratory.
- Assist s physician with minor procedures and physical examination of patients.
- Checks and maintain equipment, instruments, linens, and other ward supplies.
- Other duties and responsibilities.
a. Cleaning of nurses station, cleaning of Chart holders in the nurses stations routinely.
b. Adjust bedside rails for the patient safety.
c. Serves and removes bedpan, urinals, emesis basin as needed.
- Endorsement of patient with oxygen, and submit the names of patient to respiratory therapist for recording.
- Endorsement of patient for Operation, for Ultrasound, x- rays, and other procedures.
- Respond to call of patients and nurses.
- Undertakes 5S in the workplace.
