Network Technician / Lineman

Tasks & responsibilities

• Conduct and implement FOC cable pulling, laying and relocation affected by the ongoing road widening in tollway facilities

Conduct FOC cable installation, repairs and maintenance both aerial and underground

• Locate underground FOC and copper cable faults for repair and restoration

Perform FOC splicing and termination

• Perform concrete chipping for FOC and conduit installation and insertion.

Assist network engineer in FOC network isolation and restoration

• Conduct work outdoors in various types of weather

Can read and interpret wiring network diagrams.

Qualifications & experience

• Willing to be assigned in the following work locations

Calamba, Laguna (1 vacany)

• Bicutan (1 vacancy)

Preferably completed a Technical/Vocational course in Electronics, Practical Electricity; preferably with TESDA NCII

• With at least 3 years work experience as lineman / splicer / technician

Skilled in OSP cable construction and familiar with OSP materials.

• Skilled in using OSP power hand tools

Has extensive experience with climbing gear, aerial lifts, tensioners and pullers

• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines

Skilled in operating OTDR, fusion machine and other telecom tools and equipment.

• Highly reliable and dependable, resourceful, team player with good working attitude

Willing to be assigned on shifting schedule
