GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a Network Specialist with 2-4 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our organization's network infrastructure. The candidate should have a strong understanding of networking concepts and be able to troubleshoot issues that arise.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Design and implement network infrastructure solutions for the organization.
Maintain and support existing network infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
Configure and maintain network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN gateways.
Monitor network performance and ensure that the network is available and performing optimally.
Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure that the network is integrated with other systems and applications.
Maintain network security and implement security policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain network documentation.
Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support as needed.
SPECIFIC SKILLS:
Strong understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and network security.
Experience with network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, and Nagios.
Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are a plus.
SOFT SKILLS:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
2-4 years of experience in network administration or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
