Core Infrastructure & Network is part of Digital Technology Solutions reporting to the CIO of Vestas, where we are end-to-end responsible for the full stack Enterprise Network, from Global Access overall Network Security services to Data Center and Cloud Networking. We develop, deliver, and own strategies, roadmaps, governance, and day-to-day operations inspired by business demands and technology expertise.

We work in Agile products with End-2-End ownership, and this operations role is part of the DC Hybrid network product. As a Senior Network Operations Engineer, you ensure the day-to-day operations and maintenance of Vestas most critical infrastructure, the infrastructure all digitalization and services build upon.

Responsibilities
As a Network Operations Engineer in our DCH Network product, you'll engage in the implementation of new services and platforms, maintenance of our installed infrastructure, and day-to-day operations (request, change, and incident handling). Your primary responsibilities will be related to our Data Center Hybrid Network Services; our global MS Azure Cloud Network Infrastructure, our VMware NSX segmentation services, our Citrix Netscaler ADC Load balancing services, and our Cisco Nexus ACI infrastructure.
This is a mid-level engineer position, and we expect you to combine your expert competencies with a senior attitude owning and executing tasks in both a timely manner and in high quality as well as making a difference for more junior profiles in the team. You'll work together with architects and engineers planning and implementing platform development and you'll coordinate and oversee day-to-day tasks with fellow Operations Engineers.
We are a global company with critical services in all regions and You will be working in a 24/5 setup with scheduled but changing work hours, on top we have an on-call setup covering our weekends.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in enterprise routing, switching, and security platforms
Proven ability to perform intermediate to advanced network troubleshooting effectively
Experience with the development and support of large enterprise networks, particularly in SDN portfolios such as Cisco ACI and cloud networking, provides leverage
Networking certifications from major vendors (Cisco, VMware, Juniper, Microsoft, etc.) or formal education such as a Bachelor's or master's degree in IT (Information Technology), Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications could include VMware VCIX/NV, Citrix, or Cisco CCNA/P (Enterprise or Data Center)
Experience in key platforms such as Azure Cloud, Citrix Netscaler, VMware NSX, and Cisco ACI. Hands-on competence in these domains is advantageous
Our global network infrastructure and DC networks are Cisco-based, hence experience working with Cisco equipment such as ISR4xxx, C2960X, ASR1009, C8x00, and C9x00 series at both design and hands-on levels is required
Knowledge of network automation using Python, Ansible, or comparable protocols is beneficial. An interest in network automation is necessary
