About the roleAs a Network and IT Support Engineer at EmuTel, you will report directly to the Managing Director with support from an external network consultant. In this newly created role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and enhancing our network infrastructure to ensure a superior customer experience, and provide general IT support to our small-medium business customers. You will work collaboratively with the team and external stakeholders to manage, and optimize our network while providing IT support services to end users.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage hardware and network capacity, reporting any areas of concern to the Managing Director
Analyze business and customer requirements to design and build scalable solutions
Configure and manage M365 and Google Workspace tenancies and environments for Australian SMBs.
Provide support and troubleshooting via email for Exchange, Windows, M365 (including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and InTune), Android, iOS, and related mobile hardware.
Work in a busy help desk/service desk environment to address customer queries and issues promptly.
Install, support, maintain, and resolve hardware and software problems within complex Windows, LAN, Desktop, and Server environments.
Utilize Windows Server environments and tools such as Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, and Printing Services.
Administer security protocols and ensure compliance with security standards.
Write and maintain network documentation, including processes, diagrams, DCIM, and IPAM tools
Participate in an on-call roster

Essential Experience:
Proven experience in maintaining service provider networks
Mikrotik service provider level certifications or relevant demonstrable industry experience
Demonstrated experience managing large-scale service provider networks, including national backbone connectivity, IP transit, peering, and content infrastructure (caches)
Strong understanding of OSPF, MPLS, VXLan, and associated technologies
Experience with Carrier Grade NAT technologies and Broadband Network Gateway (BNG)
