etwork Engineer Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to support organizational growth and ensure security and optimal performance.

• Key Responsibilities:

Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN).

• Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices.

Monitor network performance and integrity.

• Resolve issues by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure.

Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.

• Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery).

Communicate with users when needed.

• Maintain complete technical documentation.

Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability.

• Required Skills:

Possess 3 and above years of network engineering experience in a medium to large organization.

• Hold a current CCNA certification or equivalent experience.

Demonstrable experience with Palo Alto firewalls.

• Solid understanding of DNS and DHCP protocols.

Proficiency in using ServiceNow for IT service management.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex networks to diverse audiences.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

• Strong documentation skills, with a keen eye for detail.

• Desirable Skills:

Experience with captive portal configuration and management.

• Hands-on experience or knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.

Familiarity with ITIL Change and Management processes.

• Previous experience in the hospitality or cruise industry is a plus.

• Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Relevant professional certifications are highly regarded.
