Job Description

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Takes on strategic responsibility and provides direction/input for the performance and evolution of the sales function under the Modern Trade and Foodservice channels and its sub-areas in line with business requirements (long-term business strategy and operational plan).

Leverages on cross-functional efficiencies and effectiveness (e.g. Marketing, Supply Chain, Technical, Finance).

Ensures people development (e.g. careers, succession plans, and coaching) across the Sales function (Direct Reports and Sales personnel).

Reports to the Head of Sales
  • MAIN ROLE AND ACTIVITIES
Contribute to business planning at the top executive level to develop sales strategies (Channel, Category, Customer/Distributor and Field sales) and plans that are consistent with the organization's overall mission, vision, and long-term objectives.
  • Management responsibilities:
Lead, control, evaluate and motivate subordinated employees
  • Propose trainings and career development plans for direct subordinates
Define and implement succession plans, be responsible for adequate headcount planning of the department
  • Ensure suitable working conditions, health and safety protection at work
Respect and adhere to the internal policies, legal and other rules:
  • Prepare sales forecasts; establish targets in areas such as product mix, sales volume, or business development and monitor the performance of the organization against these goals; adjust sales strategies and plans to meet changing markets and competitive conditions.
Oversee the overall sales budget; monitor the cost and effectiveness of sales activities to optimize resources and prioritize spending.
  • Pursue major prospects and lead and negotiate terms of sales with major customers that will maximize the organization's business interests.
Contribute to the process of building the overall sales strategy of Froneri Philippines, Inc. based on the opportunities, to prepare and activate plans to maximize overall market share growth
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop the organization's sales force to achieve established sales and profit goals.
Define the optimal sales structure
  • Put in place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function
  • KEY EXPERIENCES
College graduate
  • Minimum 10 years of experience gained in Customer Management, Distributor Management Category Management or Retail Buying
Minimum 5 years in people management
  • Has MNC and FMCG experience
Has successfully delivered on KPIs, especially top and bottomline business results
  • Has track record of business development activities
Has multi-category experience
