- maintains and repairs HVAC equipment; tanks, pumps, timers, valves, and controls
- maintains and repairs air handlers and related equipment; air supply, return, motors, fans, and vents
- maintains, and repairs chilled water-related equipment and condensers; water pumps, valves, regulators, and chemicals
- Safely troubleshoot and repair all types of HVAC manufacturing and plant equipment
- Demonstrate the initiative to investigate and offer improvements to operations
- Work safely and follow all established plant safety policies and procedures
- Communicate appropriately with all site management employees
- Service, clean, inspect and repair equipment periodically following established PMs
- Safely operate mobile equipment such as fork trucks, carts, trucks, lifts, boom lifts, etc.
- Create notifications and follow up on needed repairs and order required parts
- Utilize problem-solving techniques in interacting with other employees in resolving issues
- Input data into Carrier's TMS work order and asset management system
- Knowledge of HVAC or refrigeration tools, equipment, and materials common to the trade
- Knowledge of repair, maintenance, and installation techniques
- Abiding by HVAC trade codes, standards, and regulations
- Reading and understanding schematics
