Research and plan a variety of furniture design styles.- Discuss designs with clients who desire custom orders.
Improve on furniture designs that are already being manufactured with the use of computer aided design.
- Create two or three dimensional models, drawings, and images to be used in various projects such as furniture, signs, fabrication projects
Review furniture designs to offer suggestions for improvements on the production process, aesthetics, or both.- Provides final draft / proof / shop drawing to client for approval.
Review completed products to ensure high quality production
- Monitor material inventory system to ensure product is clearly accounted for and tracked by workshop staff.
Address issues regarding quality and production
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field.- Project management experience.
Experience with computational design.
- Highly creative, imaginative and artistic.
Excellent communication skills- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Illustrator, SketchUp or similar design software.
At least 1 year of experience in designing modular cabinets.
