Job Description

The job involves overseeing day-to-day operations in the meat section of a supermarket concession. Key responsibilities include managing inventory, creating attractive product displays, implementing sales-driving promotions, and training staff for excellent customer service. The role also includes analyzing sales data, planning events, conducting equipment inspections, and maintaining accurate records. Additionally, it requires developing customer relationships, implementing pricing strategies, resolving complaints, monitoring competitors, and conducting regular performance evaluations to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and the success of the meat section in meeting customer needs and maximizing sales.

Responsibilities

-Oversee day-to-day operations of the meat section within the supermarket concession.

-Manage inventory levels, including ordering and replenishing stock as needed.

-Create and maintain attractive product displays to drive sales and enhance the shopping experience.

-Develop and implement promotional strategies to increase customer traffic and boost sales.

-Train and supervise staff members to provide excellent customer service and maintain product knowledge.

-Monitor sales performance and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

-Plan and execute special events and promotions, such as tastings or cooking demonstrations.

-Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure operational efficiency and safety.

-Expand business in the supermarket segment

-Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and expenses.

-Develop relationships with customers to understand their preferences and needs

-Implement pricing strategies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive.

-Resolve customer complaints and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

-Implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of staff members.

-Monitor competitor activities and pricing strategies to remain competitive in the market.

-Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff members.

Qualifications

  • Should know how to handle people in blue-collar jobs
  • Knowledge of merchandising principles and experience in creating attractive product displays.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective marketing strategies to drive sales and promote products.
  • Proficiency in analyzing sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with customers, employees, and vendors.
  • Strong understanding of meat handling, storage, and safety regulations.
