We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power BI Instructor to join our team on a part-time basis. The training module comprises of 3 sessions/days, typically scheduled from Friday to Sunday, 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. Classes are held only once every month to avoid any conflicts with regular office hours.
Conduct in-person or virtual Power BI training sessions, including lectures, hands-on labs, and group activities.- Teach a range of topics from Power BI basics to advanced data modeling, DAX, and visualizations.
Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and skill levels.
Develop and update Power BI course materials, including slides, exercises, quizzes, and projects.
- Create real-world case studies and practical examples to enhance learning.
Ensure course content is current with the latest Power BI updates and best practices.
Provide one-on-one assistance to students, addressing questions and offering guidance on assignments and projects.- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to help them improve their skills.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Evaluation and Assessment:
Design and administer assessments to measure student understanding and progress.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, participation, and grades.
Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features, trends, and industry practices.- Participate in instructor training sessions and professional development activities.
Gather and analyze student feedback to continually improve the course offerings.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.- Proven experience using Power BI for data visualization, reporting, and business intelligence solutions.
Previous teaching or training experience is highly desirable.
- Power BI Certification is Required
Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and database management.
Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.- Familiarity with SQL, Excel, and other data manipulation tools.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.- Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to engage and motivate students.
