Job Title: Microbiologist
Reports to: Laboratory Manager
Responsible for: Microbiological Analysis
Job Summary:
The Microbiologist performs microbiological and other life sciences analysis and assists in performing other functions of the Microbiology section.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs analytical tests based on approved standard operating procedures;
Prepares reagents, culture medias, and other materials needed to conduct analysis;- Encodes validated analytical results in laboratory information management system program;
Assists in maintaining the integrity of laboratory equipment and apparatus;
- Supports the department in attaining stable conformance with the national and international standards and policies, maintenance of Quality Management System, and third-party accreditation;
Assists in monitoring the inventory of laboratory supply;- Performs other related duties as may be assigned in support of departmental goals.
Job Qualifications:- Graduate of BS Microbiology, BS Biology major in Microbiology or related course (Preferably Registered Microbiologist)
Minimum 1-2 years work experience in laboratory
- With good verbal and written communication skills
