I. POSITION SUMMARYConducts microbiological test, data analysis and reports in accordance with the standards stipulated in the food safety and quality control manual.
- II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs microbiological testing such as Total Plate Count, Yeast and Molds, Salmonella and E coli for all primary and secondary blends and raw materials.
- Prepares materials needed for the micro analysis testing and conducts microbiological testing. (i.e. Total plate count, yeast and molds, salmonella and E coli, etc.)
- Conducts trend analysis and recommends remedial measures when noted.
- Conduct Environmental Monitoring Program based on quality plan.
- Conducts weekly air plating as well as personnel and laundry verification.
- Conducts monthly activities:
- inventory of reagents, equipment including glass wares and expendables.
- seaweeds and coarse micro verification
- conventional swabbing of equipment and utensils in the Wet and Dry Section.
- water analysis (internal)
- Prepares quarterly water sample and primary and secondary samples for 3rd party testing.
- Monitors risks occurrence and compliance with the Environmental Program and recommends improvements when necessary.
- Monitors risks occurrence and compliance with the Allergen Program and recommends improvements when necessary.
- Performs other functions that may be assigned by supervisor from time to time or as prescribed by approved policy or guidelines.
