Merchandising StaffPlans and manages product ranges, inventory, displays and promotions. They collaborate with buyers, suppliers, analysts and retail teams to have the right products in stock, on the shelf and in attractive displays at the right price to interest customers and produce sales.
- Responsible in processing purchase requests and purchase orders.
Negotiates with suppliers regarding sales promotions, marketing support and other related concerns.
- Sources new suppliers based on the market trends and maintain good relationships with existing suppliers.
Checks stock availability, monitors and follows up delivery of orders.- Interacts, addresses and deal with stores and suppliers on product inquiries, orders and daily concerns.
Reviews inventories and orders as required.
- Coordinates with MIS in creation of supplier's new items and price revisions.
Conducts store visits and competitor price checking as needed.- Performs other tasks as instructed by department head.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business management, or related field is required.
Proven experience as merchandising staff, purchasing staff, buyer. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
Can work independently and with minimal supervision.
