JASARA PMC is looking for a highly qualified
MEP Project Director to oversee and lead the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for a variety of high-profile construction projects. This pivotal role entails managing MEP project teams, ensuring that all MEP installations meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety throughout the project lifecycle.
As the MEP Project Director, you will be responsible for strategic planning, resource management, and coordination with stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact for MEP-related matters. You will work closely with other project directors and engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration and execution of systems in accordance with the project's vision and goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project strategies to achieve MEP objectives within budget and on schedule
- Lead the MEP project team in the execution of design, installation, and commissioning activities
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulations throughout all project phases
- Coordinate with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines to develop comprehensive MEP system designs
- Monitor project performance and progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to maintain project health
- Oversee procurement and management of materials and subcontractors for MEP components
- Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, issues, and necessary actions with stakeholders
- Review and approve MEP shop drawings, submittals, and change orders
- Provide mentorship and guidance to the MEP project team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus
- 15+ years of professional experience in MEP project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Extensive experience in large-scale construction projects, particularly in the Middle East
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection
- Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex project environments
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Familiarity with project management software and tools is essential
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred
