Job Description

About the role:

As a Patient Relations Advocate (PRA), you are responsible for aiding clients in their patient journey from answering their inquiries, orienting them of their healthcare benefits (HMO and PhilHealth), until doctor endorsement and finally assist in billing.
  • Your contributions are:

_Patient Communication:_
  • Answer inquires and about benefits (HMO, PhilHealth, etc) and procedures (eye procedures) through various channels (email, phone call, etc.)
Inform patients about basic surgical procedures and related information.
  • Escalate technical questions to doctors

_Surgery Coordination _
  • Schedule surgeries considering patient, doctor and OR availability
Ensure pre-operative requirements (medical clearance, laboratory tests, diagnostic tests) are met
  • Assist Doctors by managing doctor's schedules


_
Benefits & Claims Processing_:
  • Assist patients submit benefits and claims paperwork
Ensure documentation for claims filing
  • Explain health care benefits (HMO, PhilHealth) and discount to patients and their companions.
Orient patients on the appropriate discount programs, and respective requirements.
  • Support of re-filing of denied claims (return-to-hospital (RTH) claims)

_
Administrative: _
  • Prepare patient documentation (waivers, bills, claims, etc) before endorsing said documents to the respective departments.
Verify and encode claims for accurate processing

_Ad Hoc Tasks _
  • Assist in cashiering and billings
Attend meeting in behalf ERCI, ensuring that the information is properly cascaded to respective departments
  • Qualifications:
Graduate of any business, HRM or tourism course
  • Experience in handling billing and cashiering
Exposure to any accounting system
  • Background knowledge dealing with HMOs and PhilHealth is a plus
Organized and efficient
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills
Ability to clearly & cohesively communicate procedures to patients
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Detail Oriented

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: Up to Php20,
  • 00 per month
