Job Description: Billing/Intake Coordinator
  • Position Overview:

The Billing/Intake Scheduler is responsible for managing the intake process of new patients, verifying insurance information, and scheduling appointments. This role ensures that all billing information is accurately captured and processed to facilitate smooth patient care and financial operations.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Intake Scheduling:
Greet and assist patients over the phone.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments using the practice management software.
Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure appointment availability and optimize schedules.
  • Provide patients with necessary information regarding their appointments, including preparation instructions and required documentation
  • Billing:
Collect and verify patient insurance information at the time of scheduling.
  • Obtain pre-authorizations and referrals from insurance companies as required.
Enter and update patient billing information in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Assist patients with billing inquiries and explain insurance benefits and coverage.
Generate and send out patient statements and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Administrative:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and internal staff.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Qualifications:
  • Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a related healthcare field, certification in medical billing and coding preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in billing and scheduling roles.
  • Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency with EHR and practice management software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Minimum of 8GB Memory (RAM)
  • Dual monitor
High-quality headset for clear communication
  • Webcam for virtual meetings and collaboration
Backup equipment to ensure uninterrupted workflow
  • Internet speed minimum requirement of 50mbps

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php30,
  • 00 - Php35,000.00 per month
