Duties and Responsibilities:- Develop and design mechanical systems and components based on project requirements.
- Create detailed drawings, specifications, and models using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Conduct simulations and tests to validate designs and ensure they meet performance standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and production staff, to integrate mechanical designs into overall project plans.
- Prepare and review project plans, specifications, and budgets.
- Oversee and inspect the manufacturing and installation of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct testing on prototypes and final products to ensure they meet design specifications and safety standards.
- Analyze test data and make necessary adjustments to designs to improve performance and efficiency.
- Document test results and create detailed technical reports.
- Provide technical support and guidance during the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to mechanical equipment and systems.
- Develop maintenance procedures and schedules to ensure the reliability and longevity of mechanical systems.
- Ensure all mechanical designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to mitigate potential hazards.
- Stay updated with the latest industry standards, technologies, and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand project requirements and provide progress updates.
- Present design concepts and project plans to clients and stakeholders.
- Address client concerns and incorporate feedback into design revisions.
- Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A master's degree is an advantage.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS, and others.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
