Based in Sydney Australia, Fast Automation's diverse and excellent team strives to produce cutting-edge automation solutions. With the explosion of the automation world and innovative new products, we are looking for help with mechanical design.
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who is willing to work on a contracting basis, with the opportunity to become a full-time employee for Fast Automation.
Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be involved in the conceptualization, detailed design, and manufacturing drawings for automated manufacturing systems, automation resources and turnkey systems such as:
Robot Solutions- Conveyor & Shuttle Systems
Assembly Lines
Demonstrate a winning mindset and focus on achieving results.
- Proven adeptness in working both independently and collaboratively.
Self-motivated with a proactive and creative approach to problem solving.- Show a drive for self-improvement and enthusiasm for learning about emerging technologies.
Maintain responsiveness and effective communication skills, with the ability to comprehend instructions and seek clarification when needed.
Tertiary qualifications in mechanical or mechatronic engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years experience in mechanical design, experience in automation or manufacturing industry preferred.
Experience with bespoke machinery, mechanisms or robotics preferred.- Experience with pneumatic and electrical actuation, design of mechanisms and structures, and design for manufacture.
Adept in Solidworks modelling and drawings for fabrication
