The IT Data and Analytics department within the IT group is in charge of defining enterprise data, master data and data architecture, producing data models and data transformation to support analytics, reporting and operational needs across all BDO applications.
As an MDM Developer, you will be responsible for developing, designing and the deployment of necessary code, and configuration for the Master Data Management platform. You will translate logical designs into component designs considering the solution design, performance requirements and existing systems.
Role Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Systems Analyst for the development of detailed design for modules that need to be developed and align with the requirements and architecture
- Collaborate with Systems Analyst and Solution Architect in impact assessment and risk analysis. Create development plans to consider the impact of solution design decisions.
- Develops / reviews application code according to the agreed functional design, technical design, methodologies and standards
- Review code for user and system interfaces, validation and error correction, processing rules, access, security, audit controls, recovery routines and contingency procedures.
- Develops configuration/scripts according to the agreed functional design, technical design, methodologies and standards for package deployment
- Conducts unit test and supports SIT and UAT activities
- Document technical design and unit test plan and results
- Reports progress and issues in a timely manner to Delivery Manager / Project Manager
- Prepares package, configuration files, deployment scripts and installation guide for all environments
- Provide level 3 support and production standby post go live.
Competencies:
- Programming Languages: Experience and knowledge in coding in Python, SQL is a must. Java coding is an advantage.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong solution definition, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and make sound decisions under pressure
- Technical and Business Communication: Ability to communicate both in technical language with developers and business language with business partners.
- Technical Competency: Excellent understanding of solution development methodologies and application development with high level understanding on financial products and processes. Hands on experience (implemented and completed at least 2 projects, end to end) on enterprise ETL, Data Quality and Master Data Management tools preferably Informatica (Hub, BDM/ BDQ) and has worked with Customer 360, Provisioning tool and MDM APIs
- Knowledge on SDLC: Knowledge, understanding and experience of software development life cycle, agile methods and processes, and capability to support project and delivery teams.
- Continuous Learning & Improvement: Look actively for opportunities to shorten development times, improve skills of the team and improve cost efficiency of application development activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree relevant to the job.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT development.
- Has worked with Agile and Waterfall delivery methods.
- Must be willing to work in Makati or Ortigas.
